How information is handled on this website. In short: no cookies, no tracking, and no data collected beyond what you choose to send by email.
This website is a personal professional site. It is deliberately built to collect as little information as possible.
No cookies and no tracking
This website does not use cookies, analytics scripts, advertising tools or third-party trackers. No profiling or cross-site tracking takes place, and no consent banner is therefore required. All fonts, styles and scripts are served from this domain, so simply visiting the site does not share your data with any third party.
Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes technical connection data such as IP address, browser type and requested page in order to deliver the site securely and protect it from abuse. This processing is based on legitimate interest in operating a secure website. See the Netlify privacy policy.
Project inquiry form
The inquiry form does not send anything to this website or to any database. When you submit it, the details you have typed are placed into a new message in your own email programme, which you then choose to send or discard. Nothing is stored here unless you actually send the email.
If you do send an inquiry, the message is received and stored in the recipient's professional email account and used only to consider and respond to your inquiry. Correspondence is kept for as long as it is relevant to the inquiry or a resulting engagement, and deleted thereafter. Please do not send sensitive personal, health or confidential case information by email.
External links
This website links to external services including the University of Stavanger, ORCID, Google Scholar, LinkedIn, ResearchGate, COST, publishers and DOI services. Those links open only when you click them, and each service's own privacy and cookie policy applies from that point.
Your rights
Where personal data is processed, you have the right under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to request access to it, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, restriction of processing, and to object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in Norway the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet).
